Special Mission to Mongolia (2005-2006)
In the summer of 2005, Sara Nuytemans and Jeroen Nooter drove a truck, fueled entirely by vegetable oil, from The Hague in The Netherlands to Ulaan Bataar, Mongolia. During the three month, a 12,000 km trip they passed through Germany, Poland, Ukraine, Russia, and Kazakhstan. See also www.oldcargo.org

We made an video installation of the journey to Mongolia. The installation is a 14-screen video installation of the journey to Mongolia: 13 loops of 5 to 25 minutes each; and a 3.5 hour video on a wheeled monitor that travels 14 m during the video.
